18 students accepted for MSN and Post-Master's programs


For Fall 2008:
PhD: 5 applications received, 1 accepted
DNP: 12 applications received
CNL: 13 applications received
MSN & Post-Masters: 36 applications received, 16 offers made

It's time again for the monthly update of applications that have been received:

MSN applications (for those with a BSN):

• applications for Spring 2008: 24 applications pending, 8 accepted
• applications for Fall 2008: 7 applications pending, 7 accepted

Clinical Nurse Leader MSN: 10 applications received for Fall 2008
Doctor of Nursing Practice: 8 applications for Fall 2008
PhD in Nursing: 3 applications for Fall 2008 (1 accepted)
RN-to-BSN applications: 20 received for Spring 2008

September 2007 update

I'll be providing monthly updates on the graduate admissions 'scene' here at the School of Nursing. As of September 1, we had receieved the following:

22 MSN applications for Spring 2008 (6 offers of admissions made so far)
2 RN-BSN applications for Spring 2008
12 MSN applications for Fall 2008 (7 offers of admissions made so far)
2 CNL applications for Fall 2008
5 DNP applications for Fall 2008

Rolling Admissions for MSN programs

We offer rolling admissions for most of our MSN and Post-Master's programs (with the only exception being the Clinical Nurse Leader program). You can access and submit the online admissions application at any time at http://www.applyweb.com/apply/uvan/menu.html. We have already received (and acted upon) applications for Spring and Fall 2008. As soon as we receive your application and the supporting materials (recommendations, GRE scores, transcripts, resume, etc), we will forward it to the Admissions Committee for review.
