This has been a very busy season at the School of Nursing, and we have received a record number of applications for many of our programs.
The Traditional BSN program received over 450 applications for an entering class of 60. Initial offers of admissions were mailed in late March, and high school seniors have until the end of April to reply. The Transfer applications (to the BSN and RN-BSN programs) are currently being reviewed, and these decisions will be mailed by May 1.
Direct Entry MSN: Clinical Nurse Leader program. We ended up receiving 124 applications, and admissions decisions for the 30-person entering class were mailed around March 20. We are waiting to see who accepts these offers.
Specialty MSN and Post-Masters programs: We received a record number of 209 applications this year (for an entering class of 60). We expect to have waiting lists in nearly all of the specialty tracks (Acute Care CNS and NP, Family NP, Pediatric NP, Psychiatric-Mental Health nursing) and will let people know as spaces become available.
Doctor of Nursing Practice: We received 40 applications this year for an entering class if 15. Decisions for this program will be mailed by May 1.
